Lighting Effects

When a it comes to lighting a cellar should do more than just turn on and off. A cellar should be able to react to its surroundings and produce light to suit the mood. This means that throughout the day, when sunlight is the strongest the cellar should dim right down, reducing the amount of light getting to your collection and increasing the life of your products. However, during the evening the cellar should illuminate itself and take pride of place as the centre point of a room, and a talking point for guests. A cellar should know when you are entering the cellar and light the way down to your collection. With effects that can be customized to match what you want out of your cellar lighting control is an essential part of a showpiece as sophisticated as a sub-terranean wine cellar.

Switchable Film (PDLC)

Worried about the amount of light getting to your collection? Want to ensure the longevity of the Wines kept in your cellar. PDLC film is an adhesive film that can be applied to the underside of the glass door of a cellar which will drastically cut the amount of light getting into the cellar below. At the push of a button the film can turn from transparent to nearly opaque, blocking up to 97% (using Grey option) of light from entering the cellar and hiding the contents from unwanted eyes.
